New additions to the online family

Once again, the writing machine has been churning out its wares and two websites are now showcasing both of my in production novels and a number of short fictions.

The first of these sites is the HarperCollins vehicle, Authonomy. The website is a showcase for many authors to display their wares, and being able to bring a sizeable chunk of my novels to readers free of charge is the biggest plus I can give the site. The two novels are Don’t Hang Up, a tense thriller in the vein of James Patterson, and Grim Reaping, the comedy of Death in which we discover why it is not healthy to attempt to kill the immortal collector of souls. To read the opening quarter of both novels, visit the site at www.authonomy.com.

The same two novels can also be found on the writing community site of Tome City. Tome is a site featuring general fiction and also a number of interactive fiction stories by some very talented authors. As well as the two novels, I have also posted a number of my shirt fiction stories on the site. Any support or new members to the *FREE* site are appreciated by those who run it, and if you enjoy a good read or maybe want to show off your own imagination then please do.  Check out the site at www.tomecity.com for more information.

Finally for this blog, I have previews of the first cover ideas for both books. The cover of Don’t Hang Up takes its insipration from Hitchock’s Psycho with glaring red and white constrasts dominating its cover, while Grim Reaping is both a minimalist sketch of the quintessential figure of Death against a striking black backgound. The contrast of black and white as well as the pencil sketches will be a main feature of the Grim Reaper series covers.

Don’t Hang Up - An Online Novel Publication

Just a quick blog to announce a new project of mine.

The idea of a story called Don’t Hang Up has been rattling around in my ideas folder for quite some time now - probably a couple of years at least- and only recently did i have the idea to publish it as an online novel before it is completed.

I have been using a few writing sites for quite some time now, and this is a story that has been grinding its way onward on one such site over the last few months. Now the challenge is to produce a chapter every day or two until the completion of the novel which i would expect some time in late January.

The novel is being posted through The Telegraph’s website, and the first three chapters are available now. The site is free to join, but you don’t need to be a member to read the posts. Feel free to take a look at the story as it develops and mail or log any comments. Also, sign up to the newsletter or this blog to get regular updates.

Ain’t No Cure For The Summertime Blogs

Another season  has been and gone and another blog update rolls into town on a tumbleweed. Not many developments to report since the last blog hit this page back in April.

A Christmas Carol Retold is available for sale in hardback or paperback through Amazon and can be ordered through all good bookshops, as the saying goes. A new advertising campaign will launch for the book in October on the Internet and in a number of publications worldwide. Also watch out for a special Ebay auction starting in November when a limited number of Hardback copies will be available for you to bid on. These editions will be a numbered, signed edition that will be available nowhere else and never again. It will be your only chance to own one of these special editions. A collector’s item of the future I’m sure.

In other areas, the thriller Don’t Follow Me is now progressing, along with another thriller, Don’t Hang Up (not connected). My series of Grim Reaper novels is also moving along with the first book almost half complete.

That’s about all for this time. Feel free to drop me a mail at Facebook with any questions or comments you have, I’ll try to respond to them all.

Until next time

The Brand Spanking New Blog

Yes folks, finally the latest in a long line of blogs is here.

None of the previous blogs have quite lived up to expectations with clunky dashboards, limited space and little by way of suitable design.

But that’s all in the past as this is the ultimate blog for information updates, and the other bits and pieces that i will post every now and again. I’m not promising to post every day, but I will try and give a monthly update.

If there are any brief statements I want to make then I’ll have a quick one - steady, girls - put up.

Well for now I’m busy updating various sites for the release of A Christmas Carol Retold, which is released on Monday and should also soon be available through Amazon.com too.

 Until later, take care

 Anthony.
